More than 400 bombs were defused in Deir ez Zor by Russian sappers

The de-mining of the liberated areas of the Syrian city of Deir ez Zor continues, conditions are being created to begin the reconstruction work, said Lieutenant-General Sergei Kuralenko, head of the Center for Reconciliation of Warring Parties, reports TASS.

Speaking at a briefing on Saturday, he said that “Russian sappers, in conjunction with Syrian specialists, had checked 21 hectares of the territory of the south-eastern districts of the city, 10 buildings. As a result, 405 explosive objects were discovered and destroyed,” Kuralenko said.

According to him, 62 people returned to their homes from camps of internally displaced persons for a day, they are provided with all-round assistance.
