33 Palestinians injured in clashes with the Israeli army in East Jerusalem

UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (VOP TODAY NEWS) — Thirty-three Palestinians were injured on Friday night in clashes with the Israeli army, east of occupied Jerusalem.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that its crews had dealt with 12 rubber-coated metal bullets, 18 tear gas canisters and 3 burns in Abu Dis and Al-Eizariya.

According to eyewitnesses, clashes erupted in the two towns with the Israeli army, who used live and rubber bullets, and tear gas, towards youths who threw stones and empty bottles.

This follows the death of a Palestinian, who was shot by the Israeli army, south of Bethlehem.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a statement that the Palestinian Civil Liaison Agency (PCHR) reported that a citizen (whose identity was not yet known) was killed after the Israeli occupation forces shot him near the Gush Etzion settlement, south of Bethlehem.

It is believed that this young man was killed, had carried out earlier, Friday, an operation run over, which resulted in the injury of two settlers, in the south of the West Bank, while the Israeli army opened fire on the attacker, according to the Hebrew Broadcasting Corporation.

She added that two Israeli settlers were seriously injured in a run-over in the Gush Etzion settlement in the southern West Bank.

The Israeli army confirmed in a statement that it had received information about the operation, saying it was investigating the circumstances.
