TURKEY, DIYARBAKIR (VOP TODAY NEWS) — Three Turkish soldiers were killed in a clash with Kurdish guerrillas in southeast Turkey near the border with Syria and Iraq, the governor’s office said on Thursday.
The office of the governor of the province of Sirnak in a written statement that “neutralized” three militants of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) during the confrontation.
He added that the soldiers were overseeing the security of the Turkish state oil company (TPAO) near the town of Slobi in the province of Sirnak when the clash took place on Wednesday.
