2,600 people evacuated, 40 houses and 3,500 hectares destroyed: Wildfire out of control in Chile’s Parral

The wildfire that started February 21 in Parral in Chile’s central Maule region, has destroyed around 40 houses and 3,500 hectares whilst 2,600 people have been evacuated in San Alberto and Catillo.

The country is still reeling from a massive wildfire last month which cost the life of 11 people and destroyed an estimated 1,500 houses.
