259 people were killed, 217 missing in Zimbabwe due to Hurricane Idai

UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) — At least 259 people have been killed in Zimbabwe by Hurricane Idai while 217 are still missing, the United Nations International Organization for Migration (IOM) said on Friday.

The organization said in a statement that hundreds were injured. Authorities confirmed that 16,000 families had been displaced by the cyclone.
