15 people killed, 20 injured in the stampede at Mumbai’s Elphinstone Railway Station

Heavy rains triggers stampede at Elphinstone Railway station in Mumbai on Friday leaving at least 15 people, dead and over 25 other injured, reported local media.

At least 15 people have been killed and over 20 injured in a stampede on a foot-over bridge at the Parel Railway Station, that connects Elphinstone Road and Parel suburban stations.

All the injured have being rushed to nearby hospitals and a team of doctors is stationed at the spot. Apart from the 20, several others have suffered minor injuries.
